It is prone to defects such as cracks in the forging production process. Thus creating a contradiction that complicates its forging process. Therefore, when formulating the forging process for this type of steel, corresponding technical measures should be developed from each link to address this contradiction and ensure the quality of its forgings.

      Technical conditions for raw material supply

      1. High speed steel and Cr12 cold work die steel are generally delivered in an annealed state. Among them, hot-rolled and forged high-speed steel bars can also be delivered after annealing and processed by other processing methods (such as peeling, light drawing, polishing, etc.).

      2. The surface of hot-rolled and forged high alloy steel with Lai's body shall not have visible cracks, folds, scars, and inclusions. If there are any of the above defects, they must be removed according to the standard regulations.

      3. The fracture grain of chromium 12 cold work die steel should be uniform and fine, without visible shrinkage, inclusions, delamination, cracks, bubbles, and white spots. When conducting low magnification acid leaching inspection, the above defects shall not be present.

      Heating of Leyte alloy tool steel billets
